Can I assemble a go-kart myself?

The Gokart is supplied with instructions which explain how to assemble the Go kart . Click here to see how easy they are to assemble.

Have I got room for a go-kart?

A Buddy go-kart takes up an area of 100 x 65 cm.
The dimensions of a Rally are 70 x 123 cm.
The dimensions of big go-karts start at 150 x 80 cm.
The go-karts with wide wheels, such as the BERG Traxx, are 85 cm wide.
All the Buddy’s, Rally’s and big go-karts can stand upright on their rear wheels and seat. This means that you can store all go-karts in a compact space.
On this website, you can see the dimensions of each product.

My go-kart has a flat tyre but there’s no inner tube. How can I repair it?

To fix the problem, insert an inner tube. These can be ordered from your BERG dealer.

No inner tyres are available for the Buddy Ferrari, i.e. the Ferrari 150 Italia and Ferrari F1.

I’d like to know whether an extra (second/duo/ passenger) seat fits on the BERG Buddy Go-kart.

An extra seat does not fit on a BERG Buddy. This is a small, light go-kart. Mounting an extra seat could cause the front wheels to rise from the ground.

Is it possible to buy the go-kart stickers separately?

BERGguarantees the supply of replacement parts as stated in the BERGcatalogue to enable the go-kart to function. However, functionality does not include stickers.

There are also strict rules concerning the trademark of the models produced under licence (e.g. Ferrari, Jeep, John Deere, Fendt and Claas). BERGis therefore not permitted to supply these stickers separately.

Is it possible to mount gears on a ‘normal’ go-kart?

Unfortunately not. A go-kart with gears has a specially designed frame. For that reason, a BERG dealer cannot mount gears on a ‘normal’ go-kart.

The reset button of the on-board computer is difficult to access. Can BERG modify this?

We have looked into your comment relating to the on-board computer and concluded as follows:

* Normally, the reset button is not used very much. It is generally only used to set the start values and the time
* The difficult access to the reset button prevents children (consciously or unconsciously) from ‘resetting’ the values

It has therefore been decided to leave the design as it is.

What does AF mean?

AF stands for Automatic Freewheel. This is a unique mechanism that ensures that you can keep the pedals still while the wheels are turning. Just like on a bicycle. This system improves the safety of the go-kart. If this system is not on a go-kart, the pedals always turn when the go-kart is moving and this could cause injury. The AF mechanism prevents this.

What does BFR (BF-R) mean?

BF-R means Brake, Freewheel and Reverse. As with the AF, this system enables you to freewheel, whereby the pedals stay still while the wheels turn. You have a coaster brake. And you can even reverse the go-kart!

What does BFR3 (BF-3) mean?

BF-3 stands for Brake, Freewheel and three gears. This system is identical to the BF-R, but with the addition of three gears. This makes it easier to accelerate, to ride up a hill and to go very fast when you have the wind behind you.

What is the maximum weight that a Beach wagon can take?

The maximum weight that can be placed in the beach wagon is 100 kilograms.

Are the Beach wagons fitted with air inflatable tyres?

Yes, the beach wagons have air inflatable tyres and inner tubes. In addition, the rims are fitted with needle bearings which ensure that the tyres on the beach wagon turn very smoothly.

Can I leave the Beach wagon outside?

The wood used on the Beach wagons is painted and of high quality. Because the wood swells and shrinks when the temperature changes, it is not advisable to keep it outside for long. The wood will not last so long. However, the wood is available as a spare part, which means you can easily replace it.

How big is the Beach wagon?

There are two versions: an L and an XL variant. The L variants have a 425 x 935 mm base. The base of the XL is 425 x 1170 mm. The sides of the L variant are 150 mm high and the sides of the XL are 280 mm high.

Is the beach wagon easy to dismantle?

The rod can be easily removed from the Beach wagon, as can the four sides, without using tools. This results in a smaller packet which fits into your car more easily.
